This interface board makes it simple to breadboard your home automation, industrial control, robotics or other embedded systems project using a 40-pin ZX device like the ZX-40a, ZX-40p or ZX-40n. The circuit board is designed to be plugged into a solderless breadboard or it can be wired into a circuit. See this example of the
assembled interface board plugged into a proto board with a ZX-40.
This kit includes the following parts:
1 circuit board |
a strip of 0.1" SIP sockets |
a strip of 0.1" square pins |
The remaining components needed for this board are commonly available but can also be purchased as a separate kit. For ZX devices that require an external EEPROM (e.g. ZX-40a, ZX-40p), use "ZX Parts Kit A". For ZX devices that do not require an external EEPROM (e.g. ZX-40n), use "ZX Parts Kit B".
You may wish to refer to the ZX-40 Interface Module Reference Manual (HTML) (also available in PDF form) for more details on the assembly and use of this interface board.
